Landfill Services
The Custer County Landfill accepts household trash, construction debris, and brush. Important restrictions and guidelines apply.
Important Landfill Notice
Landfill pit closes 1/2 hour before closing time to allow for compacting and cover time.
Landfill will close with sustaining winds over 35 mph or gusts over 50 mph expected to persist for one hour or longer.
Call 719-783-2726 for holiday closures. Facilities are closed the Saturday before a Monday holiday closure and during high wind days.
Brush & Stumps
Tree Stumps: Custer County Landfill will no longer accept tree stumps.
Brush Piles: Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment regulations limit brush piles to 15 x 15 x 15 feet. Please call the landfill first if you have brush to haul to ensure we have space for it.
The landfill will burn brush when conditions are acceptable.
Pricing: Brush will be charged at $10 per cubic yard.
