About CCKC

The Custer County Kids Council (CCKC) is your local early childhood council dedicated to supporting families and young children in our community. We work together to improve the quality of learning environments to prepare young children to enter kindergarten, build the resources and skills of families, ensure that families have access to social, physical, and mental health services, and deliver resources to increase the effectiveness of early childhood professionals.

Colorado Universal Preschool

Apply now for Colorado's Universal Preschool program. UPK provides all Colorado families with access to high-quality preschool for children the year before kindergarten, with additional support for families who need it most.

Annual Family Fun Day

Join us for the 7th Annual CCKC Family Fun Day on the second Saturday of June each year! This year's event is scheduled for Saturday, June 6th, 2026. This free community event features activities for children and families, local vendors, resources, and fun for all ages.

CCKC Quarterly Meetings

CCKC holds quarterly meetings at the Custer County School Library from 4:30-5:30 PM. These meetings are open to the community and provide updates on early childhood initiatives, programs, and opportunities to get involved.
