Recording Services
The Clerk and Recorder's office records and maintains public documents including deeds, mortgages, liens, surveys, and other legal instruments affecting real property in Custer County.
Office Hours for Recording
Monday through Thursday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
All documents must be recorded by 4:45 PM, or they will be recorded the following day.
Document Search & Access
Multiple options are available for searching and accessing recorded documents.
On-Site Public Search Stations
There is no cost to use the on-site public search stations, though printed copies will be chared $0.25 per page.
Document Availability: Most recorded documents from 1/1/1981 forward are available at our on-site public search stations.
Note: Documents from mid-1967 to the end of 1980 have not yet been digitized. Maps and plats are not available through public search. Contact the County Clerk & Recorder at 719-783-2441 for information and fees on receiving documents and maps not available on iCounty by email or mail.
Copy Fees for Non-Digitized Documents:
- Letter and legal size: $0.25/page
- Large documents: $1.25/page
- Maps: $5.00/page

Pricing:
- Daily access: $25 for 24-hour search + $0.25/printed page
- Monthly rate: $300
- Yearly rate: $3,600
