What is an Ordinance?
An ordinance is a local law enacted by the Board of County Commissioners. Ordinances regulate conduct, establish rules, and set standards for unincorporated Custer County and, where noted, the incorporated Towns of Silver Cliff and Westcliffe.
What is a Resolution?
A resolution is a formal expression of the Board's official position, policy decision, or administrative action. Resolutions do not carry the weight of law but represent the county's documented stance on matters of public concern.
